Apply for a NU Community Board Grant

The NU Community Board is dedicated to supporting Alberta-based charitable organizations and qualified donees engaged in social impact initiatives. If your organization is working to create positive change in Alberta, we invite you to apply for our grant funding.

Application Guidelines:

ur annual budget for funding is $320,000, allocated as $160,000 twice yearly, with a maximum request of $25,000 per project. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all funds are allocated. Please apply only for the amount needed to ensure we can support as many projects as possible.

Eligibility Requirements:

Location: Your organization must be based in Alberta.
Impact: The initiative must provide social impact to Albertans.
Qualified Donee: Your organization must be a qualified donee under CRA regulations.

Eligible initiatives must address one or more of the following societal gaps:

  • Relief of Economic Exclusion
  • Relief of Poverty
  • Relief of Social Exclusion
  • Promoting Good Health & Wellbeing
  • Helping Children or Youth at Risk
  • Relief of the Aged
  • Gender Equality
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Enhanced Peace & Justice
